Former Aston Villa loanee joined West Bromwich Albion from Manchester United in the summer of 2018.

West Bromwich Albion fans have criticised Sam Johnstone on Twitter for his performance against Ipswich Town and his overall display in general this season, and Aston Villa supporters may find that surprising.
Johnstone was in action in their Championship game against Ipswich at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper made a number of saves and looked confident, but some West Brom fans were not impressed.
Some Baggies’ supporters have also criticised the former Manchester United prospect for his overall performance this season.
Johnstone joined West Brom from Premier League club United in the summer of 2018 for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £6.5 million.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper did well on his loan spell at Villa during the second half of the 2016-17 season and the 2017-18 campaign.
Back in July 2018, many Villa fans expressed their disappointed that Johnstone was moving to Championship rivals West Brom, as reported on HITC Sport.
West Brom fans not being happy with Johnstone, as shown in comments befow, and that may surprise Villa supporters.
