Kylian Mbappe left streamer IShowSpeed in shock after he missed from 12 yards in France’s World Cup quarter-final against Morocco.

France were awarded a penalty after Mbappe was brought down in the box following a challenge from Noussair Mazraoui.

After a lengthy wait for VAR, everyone expected the forward to put the ball past Yassine Bounou, but he had other ideas.

IShowSpeed shocked by Kylian Mbappe miss

Bounou comfortably saved his spot-kick from 12 yards, leaving all of the crowd inside the ground in Boston shocked.

Mbappe is the joint top scorer with seven goals, and the miss left streamer and internet star IShowSpeed surprised.

While recording live, he said: “Mbappe missed a penalty! What kind of penalty was that?

“Mbappe, what was that? Mbappe, what was that?”

Despite being left speechless, it was hard to tell if he was actually supporting France as he was sporting a kit that was half and half, one side belonging to Morocco and the other the French strip.

Kylian Mbappe’s penalty record

Although Mbappe has been reliable from the spot for so many years, his penalty shootout record has been far from perfect.

The 27-year-old has taken 80 penalty kicks in his career, scoring 65 and missing 15.
