Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with Julian Nagelsmann amid multiple reports that Bayern Munich have sacked him and have replaced him with former Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
The Guardian have reported that Bayern have decided to part company with Nagelsmann and have decided to bring in Tuchel.
Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea earlier in the season and has accepted Bayern’s offer.
The London Evening Standard have claimed that Tottenham are now on alert about Nagelsmann, and that the 35-year-old German boss will be of interest to Spurs.
Now, we all know how good Nagelsmann is and his rise has been really impressive.
After all, you do not get to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world in your mid-30s if you are not good.
However, not everything is/was rosy with Nagelsmann at Bayern.
Why else would Bayern decide to sack the young and talented manager now?
The Independent journalist Miguel Delaney has written in his Reading the Game newsletter (12:41pm, March 24, 2023) an issue that the manager had with his players at Bayern.
Apparently some Bayern players thought that Nagelsmann tried to be too clever at times without any need for him to.

What some Bayern Munich players did not like about Tottenham Hotspur-linked Julian Nagelsmann
Delaney wrote: “There are a few little ironies in how he won’t get to face Guardiola, since Nagelsmann was long seen as his successor. One of the complaints about the German, however – and one reason why he will lose his job – is that many players think a criticism often directed at Guardiola is actually true of Nagelsmann.
“That he tries to be too clever by half. While Guardiola attempts surprising tactical moves because he has intensively thought about them and convinced himself it is the only way to give his side the edge, figures at Bayern believe there is more of a sense of self-indulgence with Nagelsmann.
“That isn’t quite to say all of the squad didn’t like him, though, since there was a bit of a split. Some did think he was a genius. Others felt that football intelligence evolved into something that gradually got on their nerves.”
