Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after a 16-second clip emerged of Divock Origi scoring a quite incredible goal in training.

The footage shows Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri knocking the ball around at the AXA Training Centre, before the latter swings a cross in.

Without even taking a touch first, Origi jumps to meet the ball and flicks it over what appears to be Marcel Pitaluga, all in one motion.

It was a strike which takes an immense amount of ability, and also confidence, to pull off.

Clearly, the Belgium international is more than capable of such brilliance in training, and it’s just a case of taking that out onto the pitch.

We all know he possesses this talent, which makes his form this season even more of a shame.

Origi has scored just once in 16 appearances this season, while also grabbing one assist.

Not to diminish his efforts, but even those two goal involvements came against Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup.

He just hasn’t been at it this season.

If that one-on-one against Burnley had gone in, who knows – it might now be a different story.

Nevertheless, let’s take nothing away from his phenomenal goal in training.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about it…
