What nobody has really asked until now, is whether Goldson should be undroppable?
Goldson should be part of Rangers’ best XI, but if mistakes become more regular on his part, then he will benefit from a spell on the sidelines.
The amount of games he has played already this season will inevitably lead to some fatigue. It may now be beginning to show.
As Gerrard considers which four of his Rangers centre-backs should be his regular pairing, the Ibrox boss should be open to all considerations, even if it means leaving Goldson out.
