The youngster started for Leeds United on Sunday but his second appearance could be some way off.
Sunday should have been a great day for Leeds United youngster Billy Whitehouse, as he made his debut for the club in their FA Cup fourth round clash against Sutton United.
However, a shock defeat raises questions as to just when the 20-year-old will make his second outing for the Whites.

With Leeds pushing hard for promotion, their manager Garry Monk will not be fielding weakened teams unless promotion is guaranteed, and given the competitive nature of the Championship that seems unlikely, with every point vital between now and the end of the campaign.

Assuming Leeds go all the way and return to the top flight, Whitehouse will surely be further away from the senior side than ever, with Monk likely to significantly strengthen with quality additions in key areas to supplement the likes of Liam Bridcutt and Ronaldo Vieira in the centre of the park.

In short, Whitehouse may have played his first and last game for Leeds for quite some time.
Despite glimpses of his talent in the cup upset against Sutton, some Leeds fans were quick to criticise Whitehouse, suggesting that he is simply not good enough for the Whites.

He has plenty of time to improve, yet there is a distinct possibility that if Leeds earn promotion come May, the player will have to make do with loan moves at best. That is until he proves he can perform regularly not just against non-league opponents but against some of the best players in the world.
