Newcastle United fans taunted Harry Kane with Alan Shearer chants as his Tottenham Hotspur side were smoked 6-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.
After 20 minutes, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle were 5-0 up, with the Spurs away supporters already heading for the exit door and making the long journey back to London.
But Newcastle supporters were certainly enjoying themselves, with the home fans chanting to Harry Kane ‘you are just a (bleep) Alan Shearer‘.
The England captain couldn’t do much other than look on in disbelief as his Spurs side capitulated beyond embarrassment – Cristian Stellini has since been sacked.
The only muted cheers for Tottenham yesterday was Kane’s goal straight after the break, which was his 24th of the Premier League season.
That’s pretty incredible for a player that is playing for a team that, without the Englishman, would probably be battling relegation.

KANE CHASING SHEARER’S RECORD
The 29-year-old is on Premier League goal number 207 – that’s 53 behind Newcastle’s greatest-ever striker, Shearer.
After another humiliation from Spurs, there has been a lot of talk about Kane’s future in north London, Shearer would certainly want him to move abroad if he heads for the exit door in the summer.
But The Telegraph have reported on April 24 that Manchester United have begun moves to try to sign the striker, with Daniel Levy looking to possibly demand £100 million.
