Logan Paul has already claimed he disagrees with his brother’s choice to fight former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Jake Paul’s biggest fight to date was scheduled for November 2025 against lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, following a commanding victory over Julio Cesar Chavez.

But before they could step into the ring, the bout was called off when an investigation was launched into allegations against Davis.

Rather than wait around for another opportunity, ‘The Problem Child’ moved quickly. The announcement that he would face former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on December 19 caught a lot of people off guard and quieted some of his doubters.

Logan Paul tried to warn Jake about taking the Joshua fight in the past

Jake Paul has not had a quiet path in boxing. Since he broke onto the scene, his choice of opponents has always stirred up debate.

This time, though, things are different. By stepping up to face a former heavyweight champion, fans and fighters alike have started giving him credit for taking on such a dangerous challenge.

Jake had mentioned months earlier that he wanted to take on Joshua. When Logan first heard about it, he made it clear he thought his brother was making a mistake.

“When you called out Anthony Joshua, were you on cocaine? Why did you do that?” Logan asked his brother in a video on YouTube.

Jake replied: “So I can be the heavyweight champion of the world. His chin is gone.”

“But he is still Anthony Joshua,” Logan reminded him.

To which Jake responded: “Which is stiff and no rhythm and no skill, just power.”

Logan ended by saying: “You’re serious about fighting him? Congrats on having such massive b— and also being super rich.”

Tyson Fury backs Jake Paul to upset Anthony Joshua

Despite the clear difference in their experience and pedigree, Tyson Fury has thrown his support behind Paul to pull off a shock win over Joshua.

Many fans are still holding out hope for a future bout between Fury and Joshua. But if the Briton were to lose this one, it would be hard to see how he continues at the top level of the sport.
