Jude Bellingham has admitted that he is fond of Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is heavily linked with a transfer to the Reds.
In fact, even Liverpool dropping out of the Champions League wouldn’t necessarily mean that Bellingham wouldn’t elect to join Jurgen Klopp’s side, according to Valentina Maceri via HITC Sport.
And it’s easy to see why Bellingham is such a fan, because Klopp has a number of players whom he admires.
Speaking to BVB TV, the 19-year-old midfielder was picking his Team of the Year for 2022.

And he couldn’t omit the towering Dutchman, revealing: “I think Van Dijk always, he’s too good man. I’ll put him in.”
Van Dijk is an absolute colossus of a defender and massively important for Liverpool.
We know that because since he got injured away to Brentford after Christmas, the Anfield outfit haven’t looked the same team in the slightest.
A couple of weeks ago, they slumped to a 3-0 defeat away to Brighton.
And good as Albion are, they should never be hammering a club like Liverpool by that margin, regardless of the venue.
Yep, Van Dijk is an enormous player for the Reds and the sooner he’s available, the better.
