HITC understands that Joshua Zirkzee has made one key demand to Manchester United and Arsenal as talks continue over the future of the Dutchman.

We have previously reported that Manchester United and Arsenal are telling Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee to delay making a decision over his future after talks with AC Milan.

Both Premier League sides are keen on a new forward signing this summer with United looking for another option to Rasmus Hojlund whilst Arsenal are looking for a striker following Benjamin Sesko’s decision to remain in Germany.

HITC understands that Zirkzee wants to know how he will fit into the plans of any club showing an interest in him, and that will be the deciding factor for him rather than any financial guarantees.

Zirkzee holds talks with interested clubs to understand his role at new club

HITC can reveal that Zirkzee and his camp have had firm discussions with AC Milan, who have been pushing hard to finalise a deal for the Dutchman, about how they see the former Bayern Munich star lining up for them next season and beyond.

As well as this, we can confirm that similar conversations have been had with United about how the club see the Dutchman fitting into the squad alongside Hojlund.

Bayern, who have a buy-back on Zirkzee, have also had talks, whilst we can confirm Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been kept informed of the situation.

Juventus are also in the mix where Zirkzee’s former boss Thiago Motta has just taken charge and he is believed to be keen on pursuing the Dutchman.

Zirkzee prepared to wait before making key decision over his future

Sources have told HITC that Milan have been trying to finalise a deal but the Dutch forward wants to assess all of his options.

Another option for the 23-year-old, that is understood to be a possibility, is that the Dutchman remains at Bologna where he struck 12 Serie A goals last season.

Zirkzee’s current contract at Bologna has a release clause in his contract that allows him to leave for just £34million this summer and that clause becomes active on the 1st of July.
