The young Leeds United left-back remains at the club and could be a viable option next season if a new player is not signed in August.
Many Leeds United fans have been calling for a new left-back ever since it became clear that Charlie Taylor’s time at Elland Road was coming to an end.
Even with the impressive form shown by Gaetano Berardi last season, the only viable alternative should the Swiss defender be ruled out is Tyler Denton and the 21-year-old is hardly proven at Championship level.

With just three first-team appearances for Leeds, relying on Denton as an alternative left-back in such an important campaign is a risk new Whites boss Thomas Christiansen may not wish to take.
The problem comes from the fact that Leeds’ search for defensive reinforcements goes on and a new centre-back is a bigger priority than a back-up option to Berardi with the new campaign less than a week away.
While injury ruled Denton out of Leeds’ pre-season tour to Austria, he was on the bench for Saturday’s friendly against Oxford United and Christiansen will have seen what he can do in training.
Leeds have benefited from giving youth a chance in the past, with Ronaldo Vieira excelling last season and the likes of Taylor, Sam Byram, Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook all making their names at Elland Road as youngsters.
Denton could follow suit, although his performance in the FA Cup defeat to Sutton United last season left a lot to be desired, and he is yet to play a single minute in the league.
If you are good enough, you are old enough in football, the question is: Does Christiansen think Denton is that good?
