Everton’s summer transfer activity has certainly made them a better side. Carlo Ancelotti’s men started the season in tremendous fashion, and they were even on top of the league for a couple of weeks.
James Rodriguez has been the star of the show, while Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure have also been performing really well. Marcel Brands deserves lots of credit for getting those deals over the line, but he now has another big transfer window ahead of him.
Everton have lost each of their last three games in the Premier League. Richarlison’s absence certainly played a big part, but the early season spark they had was missing across all areas of the pitch.
Ancelotti will do everything he can to get his side back to winning ways. However, another good window in January could make Everton a real force in the league in the second half of the season.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid’s Isco (the Mirror). The Spaniard is not in Zinedine Zidane’s plans anymore, and Ancelotti knows him really well from his time in the Spanish capital.
A move to Goodison Park would be brilliant for Isco and Everton, but Ancelotti has dismissed all the speculation about a potential transfer in the January transfer window.

He told DIRECTV Sports Co: “It is not true that I am behind Isco. We haven’t started thinking about the team for the January market. So those comments are, as they say here, bulls**t.”
Ancelotti’s comments have got Everton fans thinking. The window is just under six weeks out, and it is difficult to believe that the Toffees haven’t got their targets lined up already.
Toffees supporters discussed Ancelotti’s comments online and many feel that he is just trying to keep the news away from the media.
Here is how a few of them reacted on Twitter
