Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, journalist Duncan Castles has shared what Kia Joorabchian has told Everton about Richarlison.
Joorabchian isn’t Richarlison’s agent, but it’s a well-known fact that the super-agent has a very close relationship with the Toffees, and with the way football works these days, a lot of transfers go through these intermediaries.
Castles claims Joorabchian has told the Merseyside club that there is a club that wants to sign Richarlison, and that they should be prepared for an offer.
What’s been said?
Castles shared what he knows about Richarlison.
“Look, again, this is a story we did a long time ago on the podcast. Everton went into this window with a position of if they received a significant offers for Richarlison or Dominic Calvert-Lewin they would seriously consider them for different reasons,” Castles said.
“So entering the window, they had a stance where a big offer for Richarlison, they would probably take that. I don’t think they want to do that in the final week.
“What I can tell you is that Kia Joorabchian has told Everton he has a club that wants to sign Richarlison, so he’s told them to prepare for that offer and he’s told them to prepare to secure a replacement. Whether he can get that deal through or not, we will see, but he is someone that is accomplished at presenting these opportunities and creating these opportunities with these players.”

Worrying
Everton will be in a real predicament if a big offer comes in for Richarlison at this point in the window.
The Toffees may have to let him go if a big club comes in, but how are they going to find a replacement on such short notice?
Surely there aren’t many clubs out there who want to sell their top players at this point of the window, and in order to replace the Brazilian, Everton would need to sign a very talented player.
The Toffees will definitely be tested if a big bid comes in.
