Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Marcelo Bielsa has responded when asked if Cody Drameh will start against Leicester.
The full-back got his first Premier League appearance last weekend, coming off the bench to replace Jamie Shackleton, and inevitably, questions are now being asked about whether or not he’s ready to start.
Unfortunately, Bielsa was keeping his cards close to his chest on this occasion, stating that he needs to do more data analysis on Drameh before he decides whether or not he’s ready to start.
What’s been said?
Bielsa responded when asked if Drameh will start against Leicester.
“We need more data than we already possess to make an affirmation that’s so definitive. What I can say is, in the minutes he did play, he was able to adapt to the competition level he played at,” Bielsa said.

Not far off
Drameh may not get the chance to start against Leicester this weekend, but his first Premier League start surely isn’t far off at this point.
Drameh has slowly but surely worked his way into the mix in the first team, and if he continues to improve at U23 level, Bielsa is likely to continue giving him chances.
That first Premier League start can be hard to come by when you’re a young player, and while Drameh may not get his shot this weekend, it may not be long before we see him in Leeds’ XI.
