Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter after footage of Matteo Guendouzi playing for France’s Under-21 side emerged online last night.

The 25-second clip shows the 21-year-old chasing down a couple of Switzerland Under-21 players, before robbing the ball from one of them.

Guendouzi then races towards goal, before squaring the ball for Randal Kolo to slot home and secure the win for France in their EURO U21 qualifier.

As you’ll probably already know, the Poissy-born midfielder is currently on loan at Hertha Berlin following a fallout with Mikel Arteta.

Guendouzi has only made two Bundesliga appearances this season since making the switch to Germany.

However, after watching the footage of his determination against Switzerland, some Arsenal fans are clearly impressed, with a couple even revealing they want him back.

There’s no denying that Guendouzi is an excellent player.

What appears to be a weakness of his is discipline.

Arteta froze the youngster out after an ill-disciplined showing against Brighton back in June, and that happened to be his last appearance for the Gunners before he was shipped out on loan, as Football London reported.

Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Guendouzi’s spirited pressing for France’s Under-21 side…
