It is five years since West Bromwich Albion thrashed rivals Wolves 5-1. What became of the Baggies who started the fixture?
This month marks five years since West Bromwich Albion inflicted a heavy defeat on Black Country rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Baggies won 5-1 at Molineux and it was a result Mick McCarthy did not recover from, sacked promptly after, with Wolves going on to suffer relegation.

Ben Foster
West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster in action
Ben Foster was on loan at the Baggies at the time, and went on to sign permanently from Manchester United after an impressive campaign.
He has been a regular at the Hawthorns ever since, only missing time through injury. At 33, he still has plenty of football left in him.
Jonas Olsson
West Bromwich Albion’s Jonas Olsson
Despite being linked with a move away from the club, Jonas Olsson has remained at West Brom, signing for the club in 2008 and racking up more than 250 appearances.
Only seven of them have come in the Premier League this campaign, and the 33-year-old’s future is unclear with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Liam Ridgewell

West Brom released Liam Ridgewell in 2014 and he has gone on to establish himself in Major League Soccer.
He signed for Portland Timbers and earned the club captaincy, although has since had short loan spells back in the UK with Brighton and for Wigan.

Steven Reid

Steven Reid is one of two members of the Baggies side that day who have since retired, hanging up his boots 12 months ago.
Reid left West Brom in 2014 where he signed with Burnley, spending one season in the Premier League before retiring after they were relegated.
James Morrison

Scottish international James Morrison has been at West Brom since 2007 and does not look to be going anywhere soon.
He has scored in successive matches for the Baggies and at 30, could be key player in the side for several seasons yet.
Jerome Thomas
Jerome Thomas while on loan at Leeds
Tricky winger Jerome Thomas made more than 100 appearances for West Brom but was released in 2013, having been loaned to Leeds months earlier.
He signed with Crystal Palace where his star very much faded, playing only 10 games for the club in two seasons.
After a short stint with Rotherham, he is back playing regularly again for Port Vale in League One.
Yussouf Mulumbu
Norwich City’s Youssouf Mulumbu in action with Wigan Athletic’s Sam Morsy
DR Congo international Mulumbu really made a name for himself at the Hawthorns, establishing himself as a regular under successive managers.
He was allowed to leave two summers ago to sign with Norwich City but was part of the side which suffered relegation. He he has made 12 appearances for them in the Championship this campaign.
Paul Scharner
Wigan Athletic’s Paul Scharner celebrates at the end of the cup final
West Brom allowed Scharner to leave the following summer after the 5-1 win, with the Austrian keen to take on a new challenge.
He signed for German side Hamburg but ended up heading back to former club Wigan Athletic months later, where he went on to win the FA Cup. He retired shortly afterwards.
Peter Odemwingie
West Brom’s Peter Odemwingie celebrates
Peter Odemwingie was the hero of West Brom’s big win over Wolves, netting a hat-trick in arguably his finest moment.
He later became infamous for a failed deadline day attempt to sign for QPR, he was later sold to Cardiff and then moved to Stoke City.
Odemwingie is currently playing for Championship strugglers Rotherham, where he is yet to net this season.
Marc-Antoine Fortune

An under rated West Brom striker of recent times, Marc Antoine-Fortune can now be found plying his trade at Southend United, after spells at Wigan and Coventry.
The 35-year-old has another years on his contract at the club after this one, but has only netted three times this season.
