Tensions are reportedly rising in the Golden State Warriors locker room, with signs of friction between Steve Kerr and Draymond Green.

But Draymond Green was nowhere to be seen after a third-quarter timeout, later revealed to be due to an argument with head coach Steve Kerr that led to him being pulled from the game.

During a third-quarter timeout, Steve Kerr was in the middle of instructing his players when tensions suddenly escalated between him and Draymond Green.

The exchange quickly grew heated, with both visibly frustrated. While it wasn’t clear what exactly triggered the argument, a fan’s video captured enough of their body language to show it wasn’t just a minor disagreement.

Green didn’t return to the court after the incident. It looked like Kerr had told him to head back to the locker room and cool off before things went any further.

Steve Kerr addressed the situation with Draymond Green after the game, choosing not to downplay the argument or what followed.

“We got into it, obviously. We had it out a little bit, and he made his decision to go back to the locker room and cool off.

“That’s all I’m going to say about it. Everything is private. I got nothing further to add. He wasn’t going back in (the game).”

Kerr explained that Draymond wasn’t coming back into the game after their dispute, making clear that the decision was final regardless of how Green felt afterward.

Draymond also commented on what happened between him and Kerr, saying he felt it was best for him to step away before things escalated further.

This isn’t unfamiliar territory for either side, but given where Golden State is at this stage of their season, any friction between Kerr and one of his key players won’t go unnoticed.
