John Harbaugh, who is set to become the new head coach of the New York Giants, once spoke about meeting former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The longtime Baltimore Ravens coach recalled the experience during an interview last summer.

His remarks offered an insight into how he views leadership and the respect he holds for those in high-profile positions.

Harbaugh’s comments reflect the same professionalism and composure that have defined his nearly two-decade career in the NFL.

John Harbaugh describes meeting Donald Trump as ‘amazing’

Speaking last July, Harbaugh was asked about his visit to the White House during Trump’s presidency and gave a thoughtful response.

“How you framed that question – I would have framed that question like: ‘You got a chance to go visit with the president, man. What was that experience like?” Harbaugh said, via CBS.

“It was amazing. It was awesome. And I promise you I root for our president. I want our president to be successful just like I want my quarterback to be successful, and I want my team to be successful, and it was an amazing experience.”

Harbaugh explained that he viewed the moment as a privilege and an opportunity to show respect for the office, regardless of politics.

His comments reflected a broader belief in supporting leaders and fostering unity – values that have defined his approach both on and off the field.

John Harbaugh set to lead a new era in New York

Harbaugh’s expected move to the New York Giants represents one of the biggest coaching changes of the offseason.

He leaves Baltimore as one of the NFL’s most respected figures, having led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory in 2013 and built a culture rooted in consistency and professionalism.

The Giants, four-time Super Bowl champions, are turning to Harbaugh to bring stability and long-term structure after several uneven seasons.

Known for his strong communication and player relationships, he’s expected to instill the same culture that defined his success in Baltimore.
