Some Liverpool fans on social media seemingly aren’t buying Jurgen Klopp’s explanation of why he substituted Mohamed Salah against Chelsea.
The Liverpool boss took the bold decision of taking off his top scorer against the Blues on Thursday evening, and as you can imagine, some supporters didn’t think that was the right decision.
Klopp spoke about the switch after the game, citing fresh legs as the reason he brought Salah off.
“I just brought on fresh legs. Mo looked like today he suffered a bit, he played a lot of games. I could have taken off Sadio or Bobby, that is all clear but at that moment it looked like Mo,” Klopp said after the game.
Liverpool fans weren’t able to get on board with that point of view, with many continuing to claim that Salah looked like the biggest threat on the pitch, expressing that they simply couldn’t understand his point of view.
Whether or not taking Salah off was the right call is up for debate, but some Liverpool fans certainly couldn’t process why the Egyptian was hooked.
