The Irish attacker is still waiting for his first call-up for the Leeds United first-team.
Leeds United boss Garry Monk sprang a surprise this week when he threw 17-year-old talent Mallik Wilks into first-team squad for the first time.
Monk put the talented local lad in the squad ahead of Swedish striker Marcus Antonsson and it is clear the talented teen is catching the eye in West Yorkshire.
But what does his call-up mean for the future of Eoghan Stokes?
The Leeds United talent captained the under-23s in a defeat v Sheffield Wednesday yesterday and has been on the cusp of the Leeds first-team for some time.

However, the 20-year-old Irishman was clearly overlooked for the first-team for a player three years his junior.
With that in mind it does not seem to bode well for his future at Leeds if Wilks has leapfrogged him in the pecking order and with his contract at the club ending in the summer it may seem time is ticking for his Leeds career.
On the flipside, the inclusion of Wilks may give Stokes some hope of making it into the Leeds first-team picture under the management of Monk – who is clearly not afraid to throw youngsters into the mix.
Time will tell if Stokes can forge a career at Leeds United.
