Forest are chasing the signature of Josh Wright from Gillingham.
Nottingham Forest’s Jorge Grant celebrates scoring their first goal
Nottingham Forest are said to be interested in Gillingham midfielder Josh Wright, according to a report from The Sun.
The 27-year-old has been in fine form for Gillingham this season, playing 41 times for the club and scoring 12 goals. Forest, according to The Sun, may be able to get the player in a cut-price deal of just £100,000.
But what would that mean for current Forest talent Jorge Grant?
The midfielder is currently out on loan at Notts County and thriving. He has scored four goals in 10 games for County as he proves to Forest he has what it takes to make it in the game.
That said, the 22-year-old is out of contract in the summer and Forest have so far not been making moves to keep him beyond that date.

His performances in League Two are suggesting he might just have what it takes to cut it at Forest if he is given a chance. The signing of Wright would just make midfield opportunities slimmer for Grant – who may decide moving on is best for him.
Nottingham Forest will hope they do not live to regret his exit if Grant does depart.
