Tottenham Hotspur are said to be monitoring the young Manchester United goalkeeper.

According to the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs monitoring Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, with the 20-year-old potentially a free agent next summer, but what could that mean for a recent Spurs signing in the form of Paulo Gazzaniga?
After all, the latter arrived in North London knowing that while he would be third-choice this season, he could get opportunities in due course.

With Michel Vorm’s contract expiring at the end of the campaign, Gazzaniga could move to back-up stopper, but any deal to bring Henderson to Tottenham may be on the proviso that he is given opportunities to shine, even with Hugo Lloris the undisputed number one for a while yet.
The United youngster holds all the cards when it comes to potentially negotiating a move elsewhere, with his reputation sky-high after England’s U20 World Cup victory and his impressive loan performances this season.

Tottenham have made a habit of signing exciting young players and Henderson would certainly fit in that bracket, with observers believing it is only a matter of time before he becomes first-choice at a top flight club.
Lloris is not getting any younger and Spurs would surely love to have the England ‘keeper of the future. But any move for Henderson would surely consign Gazzaniga to little more than a footnote in Tottenham’s history.
