Leeds United are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Andy Yiadom on a free transfer in the summer.

After a very underwhelming run of results since taking charge of Leeds, Paul Heckingbottom is now making substantial plans for the summer transfer window as he looks to build on his Elland Road squad.

McBurnie and Williams are likely to command a fee if Leeds are interested in permanent deals for the pair who are on loan from Swansea City and Everton respectively, but Yiadom will be available on a free transfer with The Sun on Sunday reporting that his deal expires in the summer.
That would presumably make a move for the right-back the most likely of the three, which means that Lewie Coyle now has every right to start asking some questions of Heckingbottom.

Coyle is currently on loan at Fleetwood Town where he has generally performed well despite the League One side’s dramatic loss of form in 2018.
Coyle would have expected a tough task when he returned to his parent club anyway, with Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi currently ahead of him in the pecking order at Elland Road, and a move for Yiadom would seemingly deal the academy graduate’s hopes of first-team football with the Whites a massive blow.
Heckingbottom may have plans to sell one of the current options, but Coyle may not be able to get away from the fact that none of his rivals for the position are over 30 so it is not as if he may just need to bide his time for a little while longer before becoming the first-choice. He is probably going to need a lot of luck if he wants to earn regular game-time anytime soon.
Coyle is a talented option so it would be a real shame for Leeds fans if he was unable to realise his potential at Elland Road, but the interest in Yiadom should definitely be a concern for the 22-year-old, who should now be seeking some clarification regarding what his role is likely to be under Heckingbottom if the Barnsley man arrives this summer.
