According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur target Kim Min-jae has been told by Beijing Sinobo Guoan that he will not be sold in the summer transfer window.

The Chinese Super League club have reportedly told Kim that he will stay at the club beyond the summer.

The 23-year-old central defender is frustrated at Guoan’s stance, with Tottenham and Everton interested in the youngster, according to the report.

Football.London has also claimed of interest in the South Korea international from Spurs, adding that the North London outfit have held talks in regard to bringing the defender to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Need for a central defender

With Jan Vertonghen set to leave Tottenham at the end of the season and Juan Foyth having yet to make a huge impact at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the North London outfit could do with a new central defender.

Kim has a lot of potential, and at the right price, the 23-year-old could prove to be a bargain signing for Jose Mourinho’s side.

However, Mourinho recently refused to speak publicly about any interest in the South Korea international, telling Football.London that he does not “speak about players from other clubs”, adding, “No way, I don’t deny, I don’t confirm, never”.
