Alisson Becker has hailed Tottenham and Arsenal duo, Richarlison and Gabriel Martinelli, after Brazil breezed to the quarter-finals of the Qatar World Cup by thrashing South Korea 4-1.
The Liverpool goalkeeper used the word ‘genius’ to describe all of his attacking teammates, with Spurs forward Richarlison getting on the scoresheet and scoring his third goal of the tournament, whilst Arsenal youngster Martinelli came off the bench.
Before a ball was kicked in Doha, many highlighted the flair, depth, fearless nature and typical Brazilian spirit Tite’s forward line had.

Well, on Monday, they probably produced THE attacking performance of the World Cup because, after 45 minutes, South Korea were already planning how to get back home.
From those starting to the superstars coming off the bench, Alisson knows the quality of his fellow countryman, as he told beIN SPORTS (05/12/22 at 9:20 pm).
“We have a lot of genius in the team,” said Alisson. “Real top-quality in the team and on the bench. The players that are coming from the bench are the difference-makers as well for us.
“When the defensive line is playing against Vinicius, Raphinha and Richarlison, then Martinelli comes in, Antony comes in.
“They think ‘what can we do?’ We are strong and we know that we have to be strong as well at the back.”

BRAZIL’S ATTACK
Someone like Martinelli has ripped it up in the Premier League this season, yet he can only resort to minutes off the bench with Brazil.
That shows the quality and depth Brazil have, and it’s the weapon they will bring to the table when they face the bigger boys in the competition.
It’s the 2018 finalists next for the South American giants – Croatia – and in truth, Brazil should see this one through, and if they do, then it’s a possible date with none other than Argentina in the semi-finals.
