The Tottenham Hotspur youngster will be aiming to make a major impact for his loan club.
Having found first-team opportunities limited at Tottenham Hotspur, Marcus Edwards has joined Norwich City on loan and the creative starlet will be determined to make a major impact for the Championship club.
As reported by The Guardian, Edwards will spend the rest of the season on loan at Norwich and it will be intriguing to see how the 19-year-old fares during his first sustained taste of senior football.
Edwards has long been seen as one of Tottenham’s standout starlets yet so far has been restricted to just one competitive appearance for the first-team, which came against Gillingham in the EFL Cup in September 2016.
The prospect, who represents England at U20 level, has produced some superb performances for Tottenham’s development sides.
This season, for instance, Edwards has scored four goals and provided three assists in six UEFA Youth League appearances for Tottenham, while he has four goals and two assists in nine Premier League 2 games.
Possessing excellent technique, the youngster is a fine dribbler who can weave his way past opponents with ease, while he also has an impressive passing range.
In addition, Edwards has improved physically of late and, if he is willing to work hard enough, should be of great use to a Norwich side that are hoping to improve upon their current position of 13th in the Championship.
Edwards is constantly seeking to push forwards and his attacking mindset can help to push Norwich forwards.
If he impresses sufficiently then Edwards can return to Tottenham and look to finally make the breakthrough into the first-team squad.
For now, though, he will be focused on becoming a success at Norwich, and it seems likely that he will be able to fulfil that objective.
