Caitlin Clark has made her stance clear on Nikola Jokic, backing the Denver Nuggets star as the best player in the world right now.

The WNBA star shared her view while discussing Jokic’s recent performances, adding her voice to a growing conversation around his dominance.

With MVP debates and comparisons continuing across the league, her comments carry weight given her own rise in basketball. Clark’s take goes beyond numbers. It reflects how Jokic is being viewed by players across the sport.

Caitlin Clark backs Nikola Jokic as the best player in the NBA

Clark praised Jokic before the Nuggets’ recent game, where she highlighted the consistency and all-around impact that defines his game.

“I think everybody knew he was going to do everything he could to get back. I mean, there’s not many people that average a triple-double. You’re lucky enough to get maybe a couple of those in a season,” Clark said.

She added: “He’s done it all year long in back-to-back years. It’s pretty incredible. Honestly, he’s probably my favorite player to watch, and I think he’s the best player in the world.”

Clark’s comments point directly to Jokic’s rare production. Averaging near triple-doubles across multiple seasons is something only a handful of players have approached.

What stands out is not just the numbers, but the control he brings to every game. Jokic dictates tempo, creates opportunities, and scores efficiently without relying on athleticism.

Nikola Jokic responds to Caitlin Clark’s praise

During the postgame interview, Jokic offered a lighthearted reaction when asked about Clark’s comments.

“We have the same agent. That’s why she said it,” Jokic joked.

The response was typical of Jokic’s personality. He often downplays praise, even when it comes from high-profile players.

But the exchange highlights something more significant. Recognition from across leagues adds to his growing reputation.

Whether he embraces it or not, the conversation around him has shifted. Jokic is no longer chasing recognition, he is defining it.
