Brooks Koepka is making his way back to the PGA Tour this week, returning at the Farmers Insurance Open in Torrey Pines.
Koepka made the switch from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf in June 2022, picking up five wins over his first two years with the Saudi-funded tour.
But his time there started to unravel during the 2025 season, with frustration becoming more and more obvious every time he stepped onto a course.
Following his departure from LIV in December, it did not take long for Koepka to finalise a return to the PGA Tour a few weeks later.
This week’s Farmers Insurance Open has plenty of eyes on it, with fans looking forward to seeing Koepka back on familiar ground.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, he faced a series of tough questions about his decision to rejoin and what lies ahead.
Brooks Koepka shares what he missed most about the PGA Tour

Koepka’s return is a boost for the PGA Tour, while his absence will be felt over at LIV Golf.
Now, the five-time major winner has to focus on getting back into the swing of things and settling into the familiar surroundings of the PGA Tour.
He seemed a bit nervous when speaking to reporters on Tuesday, which is unusual for him.
The question came up during his media session: what did he miss most about being away from the Tour?
“That’s a good question,” the 35-year-old began by saying.
“I think the ability to have my family out all the time. I think that was one thing because they didn’t travel too much over the last few years.
“But like they’re going to be out this week, so I am super excited to be able to have them out.”
Brooks Koepka faces a test of patience in his PGA Tour return
Koepka will need to be patient as he works his way back into form.
He will want Thursday to arrive just so he can get through the week and move on to the next stage of his comeback.
After that, the real focus will shift to building his game back up to where it needs to be, not just for regular tour stops but also for the majors.
The path back to the top of professional golf is a long one, and Koepka will have to remind himself that there are no shortcuts this time around.
If you are expecting Koepka to hit the ground running at Torrey Pines, you might want to manage those expectations.
He is likely going through some rust after being away from regular competition, and all eyes will be on him throughout the week in La Jolla.
Poor results early on should not worry him too much. There are bound to be a few rough patches as he gets back into rhythm.
But once he settles in, it would not be surprising if he finds himself contending again sooner rather than later. Backing against him in big events has never been a safe bet before, and that may not change any time soon.
