Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has history with somebody on the club’s reported shopping list.
According to L’Equipe, the Gunners are keen on signing Lyon hitman Moussa Dembele this summer if Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave.
Dembele and Tierney spent a couple of years playing together at Celtic, where the French striker won six trophies in only two years.
The pair were major parts of Celtic’s squad, which was then managed by Brendan Rodgers.
And back in 2017, Dembele was left praising Tierney on Twitter.
The Hoops had just smashed Kilmarnock 5-0 in a League Cup outing at Parkhead, with the Scottish defender scoring the fourth goal of the day from almost 40 yards.
Here’s what the former Bhoy wrote about Tierney on Tierney on social media after that game.
It remains to be seen how good the intel is on Dembele joining Arsenal, but having Tierney – who joined the North Londoners for £25 million last summer – there certainly isn’t a negative.
