Jose Enrique has stated that Arsenal transfer target Leandro Trossard would be an ‘incredible’ signing for Newcastle United, as he posted on Instagram.
The former left-back added that the Brighton forward is an ‘amazing’ player, who can operate across the front three, but thinks he can fit in on Newcastle’s left-hand side.
With a certain Miguel Almiron wowing supporters out on the right, usually, the left-hand side has belonged to Allan Saint-Maximin.

Over the years, he has been a key figure for the Magpies, but not anymore, with Eddie Howe’s side sitting in the Champions League places without their unpredictable French winger, who has been injured in recent months.
Nonetheless, Trossard is set to be out-of-contract next summer and the likes of Newcastle, Arsenal and Chelsea are vying for his signature.
Enrique is hoping he lands on Newcastle’s doorstep because he also feels he can play for ‘any’ Premier League team he wishes.
“Well, what an incredible signing he will be for Newcastle, seriously,” said Enrique. “I don’t think he will be available for £30 million.
“I think he’s 27. But £30 million, no chance. I love him as a player. He is left-footed and right-footed. He’s a player that you need on the left side. It’s a side that Saint-Maximin is there as well, but I think Saint-Maximin is not consistent enough. He doesn’t give you the numbers you want for a winger.
“This guy does. He can shoot with a left and a right, so it would be an amazing move for Newcastle. I don’t think it will happen in January – if it happens, what a signing for Newcastle. He’s a player that I would love for any single team in the Premier League. The quality of this guy is amazing. He can play as a striker. He can play on the left side and the right side. What a player.”

TROSSARD WOULD BE AN OUTSTANDING PURCHASE
There are a fair few players set to run down their contracts, including Trossard, Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and Leicester City midfielder, Youri Tielemans.
Unless someone comes in January and puts a fee down for those players, there could be a team out there that nabs those individual stars for nothing.
On the transfer market, they would all be fetching fees of £50 million+, so Newcastle will be hoping they can win at least one of those races.
