Tottenham and Aston Villa fans have slammed Graeme Souness for his comments on Harry Kane and Jack Grealish.
The Liverpool legend claimed on Sky Sports that the Premier League will ‘lose’ its number one status across the world if the Tottenham and Villa duo continue to ‘throw themselves to the floor’ during games.
Souness thinks that they are ‘cheating’ and he doesn’t like what he sees from the English duo, who he appreciates are top-quality talents.
But Spurs and Villa supporters were out in full force following Souness’ comments and they made their feelings clear towards the ex-midfielder.
It’s pretty clear, if there is an issue then it should be with those running the game and the rules itslef, rather than the players.
If the ‘cheating’ players are winning them fouls, and it’s helping their team, then they will continue to do so because the referee is awarding them the foul.
So, perhaps Souness has got the wrong end of the stick with his argument and he should be venting his anger at these decisions being awarded.
But Spurs and Villa supporters were also quick to mention how the Anfield legend doesn’t seemingly talk about Mo Salah in the same manner he spoke about Grealish and Kane.
