Liverpool are allegedly keen on signing the Porto defender, but they will have to act fast.
Liverpool are interested in signing £45 million-rated Porto ace Eder Militao, according to a report from the Daily Mail (print edition, page 128, 20th January), and some Reds fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.
There is a problem for the Merseyside outfit, however, and that is Real Madrid’s interest in the Brazilian.
According to a report from Brazilian media outlet SPOR TV, the 21-year-old is close to sealing a switch to Los Blancos, so Liverpool will have to act fast if they want to get their man.
Militao is predominantly a centre-back by trade, but he can also play at right-back and in the deep-lying midfield role.
The Porto ace is a real talent, and has the potential to go on and become a real star in the game.
The Reds already have an incredibly strong defence, but Militao would add even more depth and quality to Jürgen Klopp’s back-line.
