Liverpool were left frustrated on Saturday afternoon as they played out a 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Anfield.
The Reds went into the game off the back of some patchy form, having lost once, won once and drawn twice in their previous four games heading into the meeting with United.
Manager Jurgen Klopp won’t have been too pleased that such a big game came directly after the international break, given that the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah had lengthy trips.

That lack of freshness showed somewhat in both sides at Anfield, but Liverpool did create a number of chances, with Emre Can and Salah both guilty of missing golden opportunities.
Ultimately, Liverpool were once again frustrated by old nemesis Jose Mourinho, as the United boss claimed his second 0-0 draw in a row at Anfield since taking the United job.
One player who starred for Liverpool was defender Joe Gomez, who was handed a start at right back yet shackled Anthony Martial in an impressive performance from the youngster.

Gomez, 20, has worked his way back from a terrible injury to emerge back into the Liverpool first team, and he again showed promise that he could become a future England international.
Fans took to Twitter during and after Saturday’s game to hail Gomez for nullifying Martial and Marcus Rashford, whilst raving about his huge talent given his inexeperience.
