Gary Lineker is a massive fan of reported Liverpool target Pedri, as per his words on Match of the Day Live on BBC Sport.
The Daily Mirror said two months ago that Liverpool had been in contact with Pedri’s representatives over a move to Anfield.
Barcelona’s wonderkid as a £70 million release clause in his contract, meaning that the Catalan giants would be powerless to resist if Jurgen Klopp’s side did make a move for that sort of money.
And it’s fair to assume that Lineker feels that Liverpool would be making a smart move by trying to sign the 18-year-old talent.
“Talk about a game of kids. Pedri, young man, I’ve watched him a lot this season at Barcelona,” Lineker said. “What a talent he’s going to be. He’s been brilliant.”

Pedri became Spain’s youngest ever player at a European Championships last night, as he was selected to start their game against Sweden.
The Liverpool target actually impressed, but he was unable to pick the lock, as Spain and Sweden played out a 0-0 draw.
Liverpool are likely to be looking for a central midfielder this summer, but any move for Pedri still feels unlikely – despite initial contact apparently being made.
The Reds have a limited budget, and Barca would surely not even consider letting the youngster go for anything less than his release clause.
With Liverpool having a limited budget right now, he may just be out of their price range, unless Klopp’s side can offload some fringe players for sizeable amounts in the coming weeks.
