Some Newcastle United fans on social media have been reacting after they were linked with a move for Florian Wirtz.
The 18-year-old midfielder looks like one of the brightest young footballers on the planet right now. The teenager won the Bundesliga Player of the Month award in September and it’s really not hard to see why.
In eight Bundesliga appearances this season, the youngster has scored four goals and grabbed six assists, which is absolutely ridiculous for a player of that age.
It’s no surprise that Wirtz has been courted by some of the biggest clubs in Europe, and with their newfound riches, Newcastle could well and truly be in the race to sign him.
As you can imagine, United supporters are rather excited about the idea of signing the German wonderkid and they’ve been sharing their opinions on social media.
Wirtz looks like the real deal and it seems as though the teenager could be a superstar in years to come.
