Liverpool youngster Liam Coyle has praised Pedro Chirivella on Twitter following the defensive midfielder’s decision to leave Anfield.
As announced on Liverpool’s official website, Chirivella is leaving the Reds at the end of the month.
The youngster is out of contract at the Premier League club on June 30, and the Spaniard has decided to move to Nantes in France.
According to Goal.com, Liverpool offered the 23-year-old a new five-year contract to stay at Anfield.
The report also claimed of interest in the Spaniard from Rangers manager Steven Gerrard.
However, Chirivella has decided to move to Nantes in France, and Liverpool midfielder Coyle, 20, has praised him and has wished him the best of luck on Twitter.
Good decision from Pedro Chirivella?
Chirivella is a very good defensive midfielder who will get better with regular first-team football in a competitive league.
Staying at Liverpool would have meant either going out on loan or being a squad player, and it made sense for him to cut ties with the Reds and venture on a new journey.
