Trevor Sinclair has praised Celtic right-back Jeremie Frimpong on Twitter for his performance against Hamilton Academical at Celtic Park this evening.

The former Manchester City winger, who is a Celtic fan, was impressed with the display produced by the 19-year-old right-back in Neil Lennon’s side’s comfortable victory over Hamilton in their opening game of the Scottish Premiership season.

Former Celtic star Simon Donnelly has responded to Sinclair’s post about the Dutch teenager.

Promising talent

Frimpong did well for Celtic in their 5-1 win against Hamilton, as the teenager scored in the 31st minute and was brilliant during the time he was on the pitch.

The right-back was strong at the back and was superb going forward, and once again he demonstrated his quality and potential.

Winning against Hamilton was easy for Celtic, and the fans will be delighted that the team have kicked off the new campaign on a positive note, especially as Rangers won against Aberdeen on Saturday.

The Glasgow giants are aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row in 2020-21.
