Sandro has responded to Gareth Bale’s post on Instagram after the Tottenham Hotspur star’s heroics last night.
Bale scored the winning goal in Tottenham’s 2-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The Wales international winger, who rejoined Spurs on loan from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, came on as a substitute in the 70th minute and found the back of the net just three minutes later.
Sandro played with Bale during the latter’s first spell at Tottenham, and the Brazilian was impressed with the display produced by the 31-year-old last night.
According to WhoScored, Bale took two shots of which one ended in goal, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 60%, won one header, and took 10 touches.
So far this season, the 31-year-old has scored one goal in 38 minutes in the Premier League and has played twice in the Europa League for Spurs, according to WhoScored.
The win against Brighton on Sunday evening means that Jose Mourinho’s side are now second in the Premier League table with 14 points from seven matches, just two points behind leaders and defending English champions Liverpool.
