Patrice Evra spoke in awe of thriving Arsenal star Bukayo Saka on Sky Sports PL (04/10/20 at 1:45 pm) by stating that he is someone who is proving him ‘wrong’.
The former Premier League left-back wasn’t just in awe of the player on the pitch, but how he is representing himself off the pitch and stated that he’s ‘falling in love’ with the kid.
These comments came before Saka helped Arsenal record a 2-1 win over Sheffield United on Sunday, with Saka opening the scoring in the second half.
Evra simply stated ‘what a player’ when sharing his thoughts on Saka, as he praised him for how he has been performing and conducting himself off the field of play.
“I can listen to him all day long,” Evra told Sky Sports. “It was a joy to watch him. To listen to him. Like Graeme [Souness] say I worry for the new generation. But he prove me wrong.
“What a player. He’s such a joy. As a player, we know him. But just about him, it tells me everything about this kid. Putting his family first. You can see he’s not playing to make him famous. He really wants to help his family.
“The way the number seven. He respects all the relations with that shirt [number]. I’m just falling in love straight away with that kid.”

Saka’s recent rise has seen him become a player from within the academy, jump to a player frequently used in the Europa League and to a player who now earns some healthy first-team action in the Premier League.
Not forgetting that he can now add England international to his name.
A player like Saka has saved Arsenal’s millions because of his ability to play in various positions, including at left-back.
If he can continue to develop then he won’t just be a regular at the Emirates, but a regular for his national side also.
