Patrice Evra has told Sky Sports PL (19/09/20 at 7:50 pm) that Willian is an ‘amazing talent’ who is a ‘perfect signing’ for Arsenal.

In a perhaps surprise move, Arsenal secured the services of Willian this summer from their London rivals after his contract expired at Chelsea.

He impressed on his Premier League debut for the Gunners by showcasing his creative quality before helping them to a win against West Ham over the weekend.

Former Manchester United defender, Evra, was clearly a fan of the versatile attacker, as he simply stated ‘what a player’ when talking about the technically-gifted Brazilian.

“What a player,” Evra told Sky Sports. “I have always been a fan of Willian when he was playing for Chelsea.

“I just think he’s the perfect signing for Arsenal because he will be less ego in this team. He needs love. He needs players to trust him. He has such an amazing talent. What a player!”

Arsenal’s record transfer deals

  1. Nicolas Pepe

    £72 million

  2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

    £56 million

  3. Alexandre Lacazette

    £52 million

  4. Thomas Partey

    45 million

  5. Mesut Ozil

    £42 million

Willian has won the Premier League title during his days at Stamford Bridge and its something that he dreams of achieving at the Emirates.

But those at Arsenal will be well aware that they are currently way off that target, but someone like Willian has been brought in to build that bridge back to where they want to go.

Someone like Pepe could do a lot and learn from the experienced man because he was hot and cold for the Gunners last season, and this is a great chance for him to take his game to the next level.
