Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are gushing over Adam Lallana following his performance against Arsenal on Saturday night.
Lallana, who joined Brighton & Hove Albion upon his release from Liverpool in 2020, had a stormer at the Amex as the Seagulls held the Gunners to a 0-0 draw.
In fact, ‘held’ isn’t even the right word because it was Graham Potter’s side who were unlucky not to win the game, not Arsenal.
Lallana spent six years on the Anfield club’s books and won a Champions League and Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp.
He really rolled the years back with a performance that bellied his 33 years.
And here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted to his display on Twitter:
Fitness
The England international’s last couple of years at Liverpool were decimated by injury.
But he looks to have conquered his fitness issues because since leaving Merseyside, Lallana has managed 37 Premier League appearances for the Albion.
Potter’s side have only had 45 games in this competition since Lallana’s arrival, so you could say that the veteran – who was on Southampton’s books prior to joining the Reds – is very much an ever-present figure.
And that’s great to see because his talent has never been questioned and it’s lovely to see him being able to showcase it on a regular basis again.
