Tottenham Hotspur star Dejan Kulusevski and Aston Villa winger Emiliano Buendia have praised Cristian Romero on Instagram following the match against Newcastle United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Romero was superb for Tottenham in their 5-1 win against Newcastle at home in the Premier League on Sunday.
The 23-year-old Argentina international central defender was a rock at the back, leading to his Tottenham teammate Kulusevski and Buendia reacting positively to his performance.
Buendia, who cost Villa £33 million in the summer of 2021 (BBC Sport), plays with Romero for the Argentina national football team.
Interestingly, Villa will take on Tottenham at Villa Park in the Premier League this coming weekend.

Romero is one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League and has been superb for Tottenham this season.
The 23-year-old joined Spurs from Atalanta in the summer of 2021, and he has made himself a regular in the team.
There have been injury problems for Romero, but when fit and available, the Argentine has been stunning and has been a rock at the back.
For Tottenham to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, in our opinion, Romero will have to be on top of his game in the final weeks.
