Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has been discussing Antonio Conte’s style of play and Harry Kane.
Liverpool face Tottenham on Saturday evening, and it’s fair to say that Klopp’s men have a tough challenge ahead of them.
Indeed, Spurs have been excellent under Conte – especially in big games, and the Liverpool boss recognises just how big of a challenge Spurs will pose.
The German also reserved some special praise for Harry Kane, stating that he fits Conte’s style perfectly.
What’s been said?
Klopp spoke about Spurs.
“They have a brilliant football team and the way they set up with the five and then the four and the one or the two and the three, and up front they have speed like crazy. Harry Kane, what a player, and he fits into that idea extremely well. I say it’s probably the biggest challenge we have faced in a long time,” Klopp said.

Great fit
Klopp is absolutely spot on, Harry Kane is tailor-made for this Antonio Conte system.
He can drop deep to act as a third midfielder, he can hold the ball up, he can assist and on top of all that he’s still one of the very best finishers in England.
It didn’t seem possible, but Conte has actually made Kane and Heung-Min Son’s partnership at Tottenham even better, and if Liverpool aren’t at their very best this weekend, the dynamic duo will punish the Reds royally.
Fortunately for Liverpool, Klopp seems to be very aware of the threat posed by Kane, but spotting danger and stopping danger are two entirely different things.
