Jamie O’Hara has told TalkSPORT that he would take Rangers player Ryan Kent at Tottenham – stating the Ibrox winger is easily good enough for the Premier League after four years with the Europa League finalists.

Kent, 25, was a crucial part of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side last season that reached the final of the Europa League. However, they suffered defeat on penalties to German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt. He continues to impress this term.

The England Under-20 international has clocked up an enormous 177 appearances in all competitions for Rangers. Joining on loan initially in 2018 under Steven Gerrard, he has since signed permanently and remained until now.

But Kent, who has “phenomenal feet” according to Kris Boyd, is in the final year of his contract. A player that has produced 79 goal involvements in his 177 games. He was excellent against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night.

According to Tottenham fan and ex-Spurs midfielder O’Hara, he is good enough to be in the Premier League. He even says he would have Kent at Tottenham, despite Antonio Conte’s side being well-stocked in the final third.

“I don’t want to pull him away from Rangers but I really like him, what a player he is,” O’Hara told The Sports Bar on TalkSPORT. “I would have him at Spurs. He should be in the Premier League, he is a top player.”

Kent is certainly good enough for the Premier League. He might feel he should have scored more during his time at Rangers, with an average of about one goal every six games. But it is his assists that are eye-catching.

Last season, he scored three goals in 46 appearances – but he created an enormous 20 assists. With Tottenham fighting on four fronts and doubts over the future of Lucas Moura, he would certainly be good cover for Son Heung-min.

Tottenham do have Ivan Perisic, who can cover Son. But the veteran Croatian star might end up being first choice as left wing-back, over Ryan Sessegnon. How much would he cost? Alex Rae believes he is worth £25million.
