Harry Redknapp told talkSPORT (26/08/21 at 7:40 am) that Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli is a ‘fantastic talent’.
The former Spurs boss stated that Nuno Espirito Santo needs to get him ‘on side’ and stated that he has started the new Premier League season pretty well.
Spurs have won their opening two league games, including beating Manchester City, where Alli produced a disciplined performance in the middle of the park.
Alli then scored the only goal of the game as Nuno recorded a 1-0 upon his return to Wolves last Sunday.
Nonetheless, with Harry Kane staying on board, Redknapp has backed Spurs to compete for the Champions League places this term.
“Absolutely (they can finish in the top four),” said Redknapp. “Last year, I felt they could win the Premier League title. They were that strong. But they really under-achieved last year. Badly.
“But they have started well this year. Dele Alli coming back. I mean what a player he is.
“You get him on side. You get him fit. I think the kid is a fantastic talent. It’s like having another new player with Harry staying.
“They have made one or two signings as well. Things are looking good for Tottenham.”

Like many Spurs players this season, if they mess up under Nuno then it will be curtains to their careers in North London.
There are several players, who went downhill towards the back end of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign and didn’t really pull up trees under Jose Mourinho either.
This is their chance to put things right, and if they don’t, then there is no blaming Mourinho anymore.
Alli is in that camp, but the early signs suggest that he has the energy back in his game, he has shown great discipline in Nuno’s system and he is making those trademark late runs again.
