Georginio Rutter has been left wowed by Archie Gray on Instagram following Leeds United’s 3-0 win over Millwall in the Championship on Sunday at the Den.

Leeds United’s relegation to the Championship was hard to take for fans, but sometimes, dropping down a division results in a few gems coming through the other way.

There is no doubt that Archie Gray is one of them because the 17-year-old produced another stellar performance in the middle of the park for his boyhood club.

There is legendary status to Gray’s name at Leeds and that comes with its pressure, but so far, the youngster is taking it all in his stride.

The technically gifted midfielder has started every game under Daniel Farke, so far, as he registered another 89 minutes against Millwall.

After the match, Gray described the three points for Leeds as ‘great’ on Instagram, with the teenager being lauded in the comments section by his fellow teammates.

‘What a player,’ wrote Georginio Rutter, with Liam Cooper applauding the player and Jaidon Anthony sending fire emojis.

Gray destined for the Premier League

Leeds will be hoping that all their issues of the 2023 summer transfer window are behind them and they can make an instant return to the Premier League.

If they can get back to the big time, then they have a quite brilliant player to sing and dance with on English football’s biggest stage.

Kalvin Phillips was the last top player to come out of Leeds’ academy, but he wasn’t anywhere near the quality of Gray at this age.
