
Liverpool supporters will have been hoping that Jurgen Klopp and Julian Ward were watching England on Tuesday night – and, more specifically, Jude Bellingham.
Gareth Southgate’s outfit hammered Ivory Coast 3-0 in an international friendly at Wembley.
The reported Liverpool target shone in a major way.
The 18-year-old was brilliant in a first half in which he struck the woodwork and whistled a fierce shot narrowly wide of the post.

Is Bellingham joining Liverpool?
Well that hasn’t been decided yet – but the Anfield outfit are reportedly very interested.
The Mirror reported a couple of months ago that Liverpool were plotting a summer transfer for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder – and honestly, they need him.
Okay so Klopp’s side are hardly struggling at the moment.
But a lot of the German’s midfield options are either 30 or over [Jordan Henderson, Thiago] or prone to injury [Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain].

That part of the squad absolutely needs freshening up.
And if Klopp and Ward – who’s replacing Michael Edwards at Liverpool this summer – bring in Bellingham then suffice to say they have arguably the finest talent in world football.
