Folarin Balogun has hailed Arsenal teammate Emile Smith Rowe on Instagram, after his display against Brighton & Hove Albion last night.
Smith Rowe has stepped into Arsenal’s team of late and performed admirably, as he has helped them deliver back-to-back wins in the past week.
Smith Rowe was once again in fine form yesterday, as he continues to prove he is ready to perform a role in Arsenal’s first-team.
And Balogun was quick to praise his fellow academy graduate after the game, writing the comment: “ESR, what a player.”
Reiss Nelson, Tyler Adams and Andy King were some of the other players to also write positive comments to Smith Rowe after the game.
Balogun may be hoping that Mikel Arteta places even more trust in youth in the coming weeks, after seeing a number of Arsenal’s youngsters thrive in their first-team.
Balogun is considered to be a majorly bright prospect by the club, but he still hasn’t been given regular game time.
That could be one of the reasons why Balogun’s future at Arsenal remains uncertain.
The striker has still not penned a new contract, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.
