Fabinho has claimed that he is ‘really happy’ for Mo Salah after he netted a brace during Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Manchester United on Tuesday night, as he told Premier League Productions (19/04/22 at 10:50 pm).
The left-footed flyer had gone several games without scoring, but against a Man United side he netted a hat-trick against during the reverse fixture, Salah was at it again, this time at Anfield.
Once again, Liverpool’s £34 million signing (BBC Sport) pulls away from those chasing him in the Premier League’s goalscoring charts.
The 29-year-old hit his 21st and 22nd against Man United – five ahead of Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son and seven ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nonetheless, this is what Fabinho had to say about Salah and ‘what a player’ he is to work alongside.
“I am really happy for him,” said Fabinho. “He scored two goals and he played a really good game. And give an assist.
“He had a good opportunity to score a hat-trick as well. But I am really happy for him because he is a real hard worker. And what a player!”

That’s back-to-back games Salah has started for Liverpool and it will be interesting if Jurgen Klopp rests him on Sunday.
The Reds also have the first leg of their semi-final Champions League showdown against Villarreal next week, so some form of rotation has to happen.
But how does he drop a player that has found his goalscoring touch, even though he has the likes of Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino on the sidelines?
Either way, it’s calls like this that could prove to be utterly pivotal in Liverpool winning several trophies this season because they are still chasing all four heading into May.
