Conor Coady has claimed that Chelsea defender Thiago Silva is one of the top three centre-backs of all time, as he told Football Focus.
The on-loan Everton played named the 38-year-old alongside another Chelsea favourite, John Terry, as well as Juventus legend, Leonardo Bonucci.
In 2020, Thiago Silva left the colours of Paris Saint-Germain and secured a free transfer to the West London club.

Frank Lampard was the man in the dugout, at the time, and it’s proven to be one of the best pieces of business they have ever done.
Whilst Lampard ended up leaving soon after, it was under the recently-sacked Thomas Tuchel that Thiago Silva enjoyed his biggest success – winning the Champions League.
Nonetheless, when England international Coady was asked to name his top three centre-backs of all time, he put forward Thiago Silva’s name.
“Thiago Silva, what a player,” said Coady. “John Terry, I would say. And you know who I liked watching the other week, Bonucci.”

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER
Whether it’s at AC Milan or on the International stage for Brazil, Thiago Silva has always shown that he has some serious, serious quality in his locker.
Even though he recently turned 38, the hard-hitting defender is proving that age is just a number.
The manner in which he covers space in Chelsea’s defensive third, reads dangers, shows composure and makes those around him better, is of a very high standard.
In the summer, Chelsea secured the talents of the highly-rated France international Wesley Fofana and the 21-year-old has no better teacher than Thiago Silva himself.
